Silwatech is backed by a team of 1000+ employees, serving clients in over 10+ industries across 9+ locations
The end client is a UAE federal government authority responsible for economic development, market competitiveness and consumer protection.
The authority supports transparent business practices, investment, entrepreneurship and consumer-focused public services. Its identity remains confidential in this case study.
SilwaTech’s in-house team designed and developed an Essential Goods Price Comparison module using Liferay DXP.
The solution enables consumers to search for products, create a shopping basket and compare its total cost across participating retailers. It then identifies the retailer offering the lowest overall basket value and the greatest potential savings.
The engagement covered:
SilwaTech developed a modular solution that centralised product and pricing information from participating retailers.
Consumers could search thousands of products, build a customised basket and compare the total basket value across available stores through one digital platform.
The module provided:
The comparison engine enabled users to:
An automated scheduler was implemented to periodically import and synchronise product and pricing information from external database tables.
The processing layer validated, transformed and updated incoming data so that consumers could access current and reliable pricing information.
An AI-powered chatbot was integrated to help users:
The solution was developed using:
The modular architecture supported performance, maintainability and future expansion.
SilwaTech followed a structured delivery model incorporating:
This approach enabled the solution to be developed efficiently while maintaining enterprise quality, security and governance standards.
Security was treated as a core requirement because the module formed part of a public government digital platform.
Key measures included:
The solution delivered:
SilwaTech was engaged by an established primary contractor to provide the specialised technology delivery required for the government platform. The solution architecture, development, customisation, integration, testing and technical implementation were completed by SilwaTech’s in-house delivery team.
The primary contractor managed the contractual relationship with the government end client, while SilwaTech worked within the agreed delivery structure and coordinated with relevant project stakeholders. SilwaTech was not contracted directly by the government authority.
The project was delivered offshore through SilwaTech’s India development centre over approximately three to four months, with defined governance, communication and quality-control processes.
The identities of both the government end client and the primary contractor remain confidential. This case study therefore describes the sector, solution and SilwaTech’s delivery responsibilities without naming either organisation.
The project demonstrated SilwaTech’s ability to develop specialised government digital services within a structured, multi-party delivery model.
The engagement highlighted:
Our project experience spans government authorities, regulated enterprises, and major organisations across multiple industries.
