The end client is a growing services organisation supporting several hundred employees across its business operations. The client’s identity is withheld in accordance with confidentiality obligations.
The organisation required a unified digital workplace for its human resources function, replacing disconnected spreadsheets, shared drives, and email-based processes with a secure and accessible employee portal.
HR information and processes were distributed across multiple tools and communication channels, creating several operational challenges:
The client needed an integrated HR portal that could centralise information, automate recurring processes, and provide employees and managers with role-appropriate access.
The engagement focused on implementing a hub-and-spoke HRMS portal on SharePoint Online, covering:
The solution connected dedicated functional sites through a central HR hub with shared navigation, consistent branding, and controlled access.
A central SharePoint hub provided employees with one destination for essential HR information:
A dedicated employee hub improved access to frequently requested information and services:
A structured portal digitised goal setting and performance-review activities:
The learning portal centralised employee-development resources and records:
A searchable skills inventory supported workforce and resource planning:
A dedicated news area strengthened internal communication and employee engagement:
Power Automate reduced manual administration across recurring HR activities:
This solution was developed and implemented by a contracted SilwaTech partner company under SilwaTech’s engagement framework. The end client’s contractual relationship was with the partner company, while SilwaTech presents the engagement as part of its governed partner-delivery portfolio.
The partner provided specialists across SharePoint Online, SharePoint Framework development, Microsoft Lists, Power Automate, user experience, and Microsoft 365 governance.
Delivery covered HR process discovery, information architecture, hub-and-spoke design, custom component development, workflow automation, permission configuration, testing, and deployment.
This delivery model provided access to specialised Microsoft workplace capabilities while maintaining defined governance, quality, and delivery controls within the SilwaTech partner framework.
Because the portal contains employee, performance, training, and skills information, access control and content governance were central to the implementation:
These controls enabled employees, managers, and HR personnel to access the information required for their roles while restricting sensitive records appropriately.
Our project experience spans government authorities, regulated enterprises, and major organisations across multiple industries.
